Electronic Portable Air Conditioner

how do I install a window mount air conditioner without it protruding past the window on the inside ?

I want to install interior plantation shutters but the window air conditioner protrudes too far inside for the shutters to work properly. If there was one out there that would mount flush with the glass I wouldn't mind buying it. but the ones I've found don't offer information on how much they stick out into the room Thanks

1. if they did not protrude you would not be able to install them in the window purchase a air conditioner that protrudes thru the wall

3. Have you considered shutters that would clear the top of the unit?
