Electronic Portable Air Conditioner

Portable air condition is making room MORE humid.?

So I picked up a portable air conditioner the other day. Its the Sharp CV-NH13 if that matters. The thing is, it's making the room very very humid. The air gets cold in the room, no problem there, but it's got to be 5 times more humid in that room than the unconditioned rooms in the rest of the house. It's not even humid outrside, just in this room. It has a built in dehumidifier but, according to the manual, does not cool if that mode is selected. Any idea why it's doing this?

1. did you put the vent hose out the window need to vent the unit outside
