Portable air conditioning unit - if stood in the fireplace, can it be vented up the chimney?

1. No, where do you think the condensation would go? Right into the fireplace, don't forget A/C draws the moisture out of the air and you will have water dripping out of the back side of the A/C.
2. LMAO-I think this is a first. Just put it in the window like it has been designed for.
3. Is it a window unit? You need to be more specific, but off the top of my head, I would give that idea a definate NO!
