Electronic Portable Air Conditioner

Any info on an Amcor portable air conditioner? I am considering buying one but am wondering if anyone has one and if they recommend it. Thanks.

I have a portable amcor air conditioner- no matter what i set the temp for- the compressor goes off at 70-idea that's not cool enough for us- the compressor isn't supposed to go off until it hits whatever temp you set it for- i set it for 63 but it still turns off at 70 and won't go back on until the room hits 72- any ideas?

Is my Amcor ALD12000E Portable Air conditioner going to be damaged if I use it in a huge room? It's supposed to be for rooms up to 400 square feet but the room I'm using it is 650 square feet, so will this damage the unit in any way? And what if I use it in a 150 square feet room?

how much does a 12000 btu amcor portable floor air conditioner cost to run.? My grandmother had this brand new air conditioner in her house and she did not need it any more and my room with all my electronics was way to hot to deal with. I am running this in a 13 by 20 room in my house.. is this too much for my room to handle? and annually on average will it raise my electric bill a lot? Thanks again!

Do portable air conditioners need r22 frigerant after heavy usage? Do they need Maintenance? I'm looking at Amcor portable a/c and they use r22 frigerant i 'm not sure if that's freon, anyways do need freon added every once in a while?

portable a/c not blowing cold air? i bought a amcor portable air conditioner in the spring and it just started acting strange. first it would kick off and only the fan would blow every once in a while. but as of today it will not even blow cold air. and it seems like every minute or two the fan will kick down to low for about 3 seconds. does any one know what it could possibly be>

How do you install a portable air conditioner in a horizonal-sliding window? So my two questions are: 1. Portable air conditioners come with an exhaust hose and window-kit. Will this window kit work with both vertical and horizonal-sliding windows? My window is 42.5 inches tall therefore the window-kit would have to go up that high. 2. Which portable air conditioner do you recommend for a small to medium-size bedroom that will work with this window? I have been looking at Royal Sovereign, Amcor, Soleus Air, DeLonghi, SPT, etc... But I have no experience with these. Thanks a lot!

Will my portable Air conditioner 12000 BTU be damaged if I use it in a small room like 130 Square feet? I'm using the Amcor ALD12000E for rooms up to 400 Square feet, but right now I have it in a 130 square feet room which is pretty small... I read on some websites that it's not good for the AC.. is this true? Will my portable AC be damaged if I use it in smaller rooms?

Amcor Brand Reliability? How reliable is Amcor as a brand? I saw one of their portable air conditioners on the J&R Music and Computer World site for a good price. Before I buy it, I need to know if it will be reliable. Thanks, C.L.
